Camp Gan Israel was created to provide children with a fun and meaningful summer program, while fostering growth individually and socially in a Jewish atmosphere. The daily schedule includes an exciting mix of sports, field trips, special programs and activities designed to be educational, fun, and conducive to building character and nurturing friendships.

Camp Gan Israel provides a delicious hot lunch for all the campers at no additional charge. We ask that parents do not send in any food due to Kosher policies at our camp. If your child has any food allergies please let us know. Please note that our lunch program is peanut free.

A highlight of Camp Gan Israel is the trips that the kids take every Tuesday and Thursday. Some of the trips may include World of Coca-Cola, Rock Climbing and Imagine It Children's Museum. Please see the Camp Calendar for further details.

Please do not send spending money with your child(ren) on trip day. It is distracting for the campers and takes away from the fun of trip day.

Our campers will be swimming every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. CGI swims at Sewell Park Pool, which has certified lifeguard supervision at all times.

Our campers will receive coaching in various sports and athletic activities. Their fun filled classes include activities that enhance and develop motor skills and physical fitness.

The children will enjoy these weekly experiments, which are both fun and educational.

Children love our weekly Shabbat parties! Our exciting and inspirational Shabbat Extravaganza is a wonderful way for the children to end their camp week and to take home the warmth and joy of camp for Shabbat.

We provide coins for the children to give tzedakah (money for charity) every day, as this will help develop a daily habit of sharing. This will help children associate money with giving and doing a good deed.

If you would like to chaperone field trips or assist in special activities, please contact the office via email or call 770-565-4412.

Each day pictures of the activities will be available on our homepage, and on our Facebook page for you to enjoy.

Although not required, tips or gifts are appreciated as our staff are volunteers. A general guideline is $10 per week.

Clothes should be comfortable, washable and appropriate for camp activities. The wearing of a CGI t-shirt, socks and closed toe tennis shoes is mandatory for all field trips, which take place on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Each child will be given one t-shirt on the first day of camp. Additional t-shirts are available for purchase at $10 per shirt. The boys are requested to wear their kippah or a baseball cap daily.
