GAN IZZY MAIN CAMP

Camp Gan Israel was created to provide children with a fun and meaningful summer program, while fostering growth individually and socially in a Jewish atmosphere. The daily schedule includes an exciting mix of sports, field trips, special programs and activities designed to be educational, fun, and conducive to building character and nurturing friendships.

Lunch Program
Camp Gan Israel provides a delicious hot lunch for all the campers at no additional charge. We ask that parents do not send in any food due to Kosher policies at our camp. If your child has any food allergies please let us know. Please be advised that our lunch program is peanut free.

Trips
A highlight of Camp Gan Israel is the trips that the kids take every Tuesday and Thursday. Some of the trips may include Six Flags, World of Coca-Cola, Bowling and Imagine It Children's Museum. Please see the Camp Calendar for further details.

Spending Money
Please do not send spending money with your child(ren) on trip day. It is distracting for the campers and takes away from the fun of trip day.

Swimming
Our campers will be swimming every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. CGI swims at Pinecrest Club Pool in Indian Hills and Atlanta Swim Academy. Both pools have certified lifeguard supervision at all times.

Sports
Our campers will receive coaching in various sports and athletic activities. Their fun filled classes include activites that enhance and develop motor skills and physical fitness.

Gymnastics
Children will experience a wonderful introduction to the world of gymnastics, with special focus on coordination, flexibility, strength and balance. The coaches provide top quality instruction to this enjoyable and high energy gymnastics session.

Mad Science
The children will enjoy these weekly experiments which are both fun and educational.

Shabbat Program
Children love our weekly Shabbat parties! Our exciting and inspirational Shabbat Extravaganza is a wonderful way for the children to end their camp week and to take home the warmth and joy of camp for Shabbat.

Tzedakah
We encourage the children to bring tzedakah (money for charity) every day. A penny or two is fine. The point is to develop a daily habit of sharing. It also helps children associate money with giving and doing a good deed.

Parent Particpation
If you would like to chaperone field trips or assist in special activities, please contact the office via email office@chabadofcobb.com, or call 770-565-4412.

Photo Album
Each day pictures of the activities will be available on our homepage,
www.cgicobb.org and on our Facebook page for you to enjoy.

Tips
Although not required, tips or gifts are appreciated as our staff are volunteers. A general guideline is $10 per week.

Clothing
Clothes should be comfortable, washable and appropriate for camp activities. The wearing of a CGI t-shirt is mandatory for all field trips. Each child will be given one t-shirt on the first day of camp. Additional t-shirts are available for purchase, $10 per shirt. The boys are requested to wear their kippah or a baseball cap daily.
